ARTIST STATEMENT
John Lehman's Susquehanna River landscapes range from Columbia to Liverpool, catching views from ordinary places, but from angles unusual to the casual visitor. These paintings reflect all seasons of the area, so the viewer is immersed in the full gamut of tones and feelings afforded by Lehman's expansive palette and rich impressionist style. The artist's affection for and knowledge of his home territory is clearly evident in the vibrance of these unseen works. |
