OCTOBER
JANET HAMMOND, notes of a different color
ARTISTS' JAZZ RECEPTION, Friday, October 24, 2008
featuring the RYAN KAUFFMAN DUO
Exhibition continues thru November 29
Janet Hammond's newest collection, portraits of musicians during practice, rehearsal and performance,
embraces her favorite subject matter - the figure in ordinary surrounding. She is adept at capturing the
moment, keeping the viewer entranced with her attention to detail. Vinguetted works within the
larger work are small masterpieces in themselves.
